Loris Prestaux, more precisely. Welcome to my portfolio!

I am a Game Design student at the HTW Berlin and I’m currently doing my bachelor at De:Hive with a particular focus on game mechanics, level design and gameplay systems.

I am particularly interested in unusual gameplay mechanics and systems that create unexpected and satisfying player interactions. Beyond pure game development, I also have a keen interest in game production and all the collaborative and multidisciplinary processes at work behind the scenes.

I primarily work with Unity and Unreal Engine, designing and implementing rapid prototypes, gameplay systems and mechanics, UI features, and generally everything that makes a game engaging and enjoyable.

Before transitioning into game development, I worked in the humanitarian sector and completed Master’s degrees in International Relations, Political Science & Comparative Military History. My experience working for NGOs helped me develop strong collaboration, project coordination and problem-solving skills that continue to inform my work as a designer.
